The course is run on closed roads, taking runners past Chester’s iconic landmarks—such as the Roman Walls, Cathedral, Medieval Rows, Eastgate Clock, and Amphitheatre—before heading into the Cheshire countryside. The Metric Marathon merges with the full marathon route at Churton and finishes back in Chester alongside the River Dee, creating an unforgettable finish.
