Hospice Strictly debut success

Do you want to dance at the next Hospice Strictly?

Love to watch Strictly Come Dancing? Wish you could be on it? Sign up to take part in our upcoming Hospice Strictly event, where you will be paired with a professional dance partner, and dance for the prize in front of an audience and our start-studded panel of judges!

Saturday 5th September

Chester Racecourse

Each of our dancers will be partnered with a professional dancer who has competed on Strictly Come Dancing. They will be taking 8 hours of dance lessons including learning a dance of the professional’s choice before taking the floor to perform their 2-minute dance in front of hundreds of people at Chester Racecourse.

Mark your calendars for a night of glamour, elegance and show stopping entertainment as the Hospice Strictly event makes its debut at Chester Racecourse. This dazzling event will bring the magic of ballroom and Latin dance to the heart of Chester.

As our guests, you will be treated to a wonderful evening, with a sparkling drinks reception followed by unforgettable dance performances and a sumptuous two-course meal provided by the award winning Horseradish catering team.

Your attendance at Hospice Strictly will directly support our local hospice and its services, ensuring that no one in West Cheshire & Deeside faces a life-limiting illness alone. Your generosity will help provide essential care and support for patients and their families.

Meet our dancers!

Zoe Walker

Zoe Walker

“Hi, my name is Zoe and these are my four beautiful children… I am embracing the “Strictly” Adventure to raise money for the Hospice to help ensure that there are beds available for the people that need them.”
“I’m showcasing to my little mini-me’s that you can do anything you wish when you put your mind to it. Being confident in life’s whirlwind will make you who you are and add to the memories of life.”
Rhian Anstey

Rhian Anstey

Rhian is a CXPA Certified Customer Experience Professional and insight6 Director, helping businesses across North Wales, Chester, and The Wirral improve client retention through feedback, surveys, and mystery shopping. She is passionate about supporting the Hospice, having been a member of their 100 Club for the past few years.
Rhian lives in North Wales with her husband, Russell, and has been a proud stepmum to James and Hannah for 18 years. Her colourful past includes performing on Challenge Anneka (on a unicycle!) and a brief appearance as “the girl outside the chip shop” on Crimewatch. She also holds a psychology diploma (mainly so she can add DipPsy after her name) and is technically a Lady, thanks to a novelty plot of land in Scotland.
She’s equally excited and terrified to perform this dance, and as a lifelong musical theatre fan is thrilled about the theme.
Jane Montague

Jane Montague

Jane is one of the Directors of family business, Majestic Publications. Majestic Publications produce the Hospice’s diaries and also the programme for this event too.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd means a lot to Jane and her family, as the Hospice helped them when her father, Bob, was dying back in 1997. The Hospice of the Good Shepherd was Majestic Publications’ first client!
Jane grew up in Chester but now lives in South Manchester with her husband, Richard, and son, Ben. Now 55, and with a Dad who died at 59, Jane is trying to pack in as many challenges and adventures as she can – with Strictly being one of them.
She knows she’ll never be an Oti Mabuse but is hoping she’ll be better than Ann Widdecombe was!
