New Year New Job – Join the Hospice of the Good Shepherd’s Team
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd will be holding two open days for registered nurse vacancies on Tuesday 14th January 6.30pm – 8pm and Friday 17th January 1.30pm – 3pm where you’ll be able to come and meet a variety of the team, look around the hospice, and learn more about the available roles and with an opportunity to ask your questions about working here.
If you would like to attend the open days, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Staff at the Hospice have been sharing their views on social media and the hospice website on why they enjoy working for the organisation.
Catherine Yates, Senior Staff Nurse at the Hospice, said: “I came to the Hospice about three years ago because I always wanted to work in palliative care.”
She continued: “I left for five months to work at the NHS, but soon realised that I missed being able to deliver palliative care to patients and their families in a smaller environment where we have a better nurse to patient ratio.”
Catherine came back to the Hospice as a Senior Staff Nurse last year and loves her job.
Catherine said: “For me money isn’t everything, I’ve got to be happy – it’s a privilege to be here for someone when they are going through a difficult time.”
She continued: “The Hospice is a very rewarding place to work as you feel like you’re really making a difference to the lives of local people and that you’re part of a big family.”
Liz Taylor , Director of Clinical Services added “The hospice is a great place to work, our staff are highly skilled and knowledgeable in delivering high quality palliative care to people living with advanced illness and those who are important to them. We are looking forward to welcoming new members to our team, who share our values of compassion, dignity, respect and integrity”
