DON’T BE A SCROOGE – JOIN IN FESTIVE FUN FRIDAY ON DECEMBER 9
Hospice of the Good Shepherd is throwing down the gauntlet to everyone this Christmas to join in Festive Fun Friday on December 9.
For a donation of just £2 you can dress up in all your Christmas clobber so dig out those warm woollies, Santa socks or reindeer antlers. Why not bake Christmas cupcakes, host a mince pie and coffee morning or use the office Christmas party to fundraise?
Melanie Cowieson, the Hospice’s Corporate and Major Gift Fundraising Manager said: “This is the Hospice’s first – ever Festive Fun Friday and we want everyone to get into the Christmas spirit and celebrate this special time of year.
“You, your family and friends can dress up as much as you want and perhaps stage a competition for the best or worst dressed?
“The whole theme of our special day is to have fun no matter what your age whilst raising money for the Hospice.
“Just £5 will pay for a home cooked meal in our inpatient unit or day therapy and for £20 a patient can receive a complimentary therapy session such as acupuncture that can help relieve some of the side effects of chemotherapy.”
Melanie added: “Big or small donations help us to make a difference when it matters most.
“Let us know if there is anything that we can do to help or if you would like collection boxes or buckets.”
Register now by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01244 851811 and you will be sent a fundraising pack.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides palliative care for residents of Chester, Ellesmere Port, Deeside, western Cheshire and part of south Wirral.
