Donating to ‘outstanding hospice’
Members of the team at Sanctuary365 have pulled together to raise funds for a special cause that’s very close to their hearts.
Recently the team at Sanctuary365, who provide personal alarms and assistive technology from Centurion House in Northgate Street, have dug deep to raise over £150 for a nearby hospice which provides care and support to more than 1,500 people in the local area.
Dignified care for loved one
They voted to support The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford due to the “outstanding and dignified care” it’s provided to a number of their loved ones.
In July 2014 Sanctuary365 Manager Helen Hughes’ late father used the facilities following a short illness. She said: “The care my dad received was outstanding, the team always treated dad with respect and dignity in a homely, peaceful and calm setting. The team at the hospice are genuine and truly care about you and your loved one and they are always there to support you throughout very difficult times.
“I will always be grateful to the hospice and I’m not the only person in Sanctuary365 who has had to turn to them and even though it was a difficult time for us, we all feel the great work they do should be celebrated and this is why we are proud to do our small bit to support such a remarkable hospice.”
Hospice grateful for donation
After receiving the donation Rachel Thomas, Community Fundraising Manager for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd said: “We are so grateful to the staff at Sanctuary365 for supporting the hospice in this kind way and look forward to working with the team again in the future.”
