Bike Chester in aid of Local Hospice

Bike Chester will be taking place this year on Saturday 25 June and are urging people to take up the cycle challenge and raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd who they have nominated as their charity.
Participants can take to the saddle and sign up for either a 25, 50 or 80 miles bike ride starting and ending at Chester Rugby Club in Littleton, Chester. The route will be fully sign-posted and take you through the scenic Cheshire countryside, which will include a number of feed stations along the way showcasing a selection of local food and drink produce. There will also be on-course medical support if needed.

The event is being organised by Iconic Cycling Events and prices range from £20 for the 25 miles route, or £10 for children under the age of 16 and £33 for the 50 or 80 mile routes. Each entrant will benefit from a timing chip to record their time, a backup route and GPS file and a high quality finisher’s medal.

The Hospice has a limited number of free places in the ride for those who commit to raising more than £100 in sponsorship. Anyone who would like one of these places, needs to contact the fundraising Hospice team direct.

Rachel Thomas, Community Fundraising Manager said, “With major tours like Tour De France and the Olympics being held in August, cycling has become really popular. We are delighted that Iconic Cycling Events have nominated us as their charity and would encourage all those wishing to get active and healthy to sign up.”
