Become A Trustee
EXCITING AND REWARDING OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME A TRUSTEE AT THE HOSPICE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
The Hospice is currently recruiting three Trustees to join the Hospice Board. This is an opportunity to share ultimate responsibility for governing our Hospice and directing how it is managed. You could help make a real difference to the communities we serve and the care we deliver.
The vision of the Hospice is ‘Striving for excellence is at the heart of everything we do.’ From our Hospice in Backford, near Chester, we aim to provide the highest quality specialist palliative care to the people of Chester, West Cheshire and Deeside who have a life limiting condition. The Hospice also provides bereavement services across West Cheshire.
The Board is supported by six sub-committees with specific terms of reference and delegated functions. Most Trustees serve on at least one of these sub-committees. The Trustees provide specialist input to the areas of Care, Finance and Investment, HR & Remuneration, Income Generation, Health and Safety and Information Governance.
Our Trustees bring fresh ideas and a wealth of different experiences to the Board and Committees, and to the Hospice as a whole and we very much look forward to welcoming new Trustees into the following opportunities:
Health and Safety Committee
We are seeking two experienced Health and Safety professionals to join our Health Safety sub-committee.
As a Health and Safety Trustee you would use your knowledge to ensure effective Health and Safety practices are adopted throughout the organisation and ensure compliance with HSE Legislation.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Nurse to join our Care sub-committee. You will oversee all clinical matters with particular reference to palliative care standards and medicines management.
If you are ready to make a difference, please see attached job description and contact Abbie Hickman, PA to CEO/ Business Support Officer on 01244 566 733 or email email@example.com by Friday 13th September 2019.
